About us and these terms
align & nourish ("we", "us", "our") is an online nutrition coaching service for women, operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. These terms of service ("terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and us.
By booking a programme, requesting a discovery call, or otherwise using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use our services.
Our services
We provide online nutrition coaching, guidance and related digital resources. Our services are delivered remotely, for example through video calls, messaging, written feedback and downloadable materials.
The specific inclusions of each programme are described on our website at the time of booking. We may update or improve the content and structure of our programmes from time to time, provided the overall service you have paid for is not materially reduced.
Our coaching is educational and supportive in nature. It is designed to help you understand your body, build sustainable habits and work towards your personal wellbeing goals.
Important health disclaimer
Our coaching provides nutrition guidance and education. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace the care of a doctor, GP, registered dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional.
You should always consult a qualified medical professional before making significant changes to your diet or lifestyle, particularly if you have a diagnosed health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, are taking medication, or have any concerns about your health. If you experience any concerning symptoms, please seek medical attention promptly.
Our coach holds the following qualifications and standing:
- CPD Certified Nutritionist
- Accredited Diet & Nutritional Adviser Diploma (Distinction)
- Training in nutrition science, gut health, behaviour change and personalised nutrition
- An evidence-based, practical and client-centred approach
- Fully insured and registry accredited
Our guidance is provided within the scope of nutrition coaching and does not constitute the practice of medicine or dietetics where these are legally restricted.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to book and use our services. By booking, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Booking and payment
Booking usually begins with a free, no-obligation discovery call, after which we will confirm the programme that suits you. A booking is confirmed once we have agreed the programme with you and payment arrangements are in place.
The price of each programme is the price shown on our website or quoted to you at the time of booking. Payment terms will be confirmed to you in writing before your programme begins. Where instalment options are offered, the agreed instalments remain payable in full for the programme you have booked, even if you choose to stop early (see cancellation and refunds below).
You agree to pay all fees for the programme you have booked in accordance with the payment terms we confirm to you.
Cancellation and refunds
Your 14-day cancellation right
Because you are buying a service online as a consumer, you normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking, known as the "cooling-off period", under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
If you cancel within this 14-day period and your coaching has not yet started, you are entitled to a full refund. If you ask us to begin your coaching within the 14-day period, you agree that we may start straight away, and you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed. If coaching has started but is not yet complete when you cancel within the 14 days, we may retain a reasonable amount reflecting the service already provided.
After coaching has started
Once your coaching programme has started, fees are non-refundable. This is because our programmes involve dedicated time, preparation and personalised work reserved specifically for you.
If you choose to stop a programme partway through, you remain responsible for the full agreed fee, including any remaining instalments. We understand that circumstances can change, so if you are struggling to continue, please talk to us. At our discretion we may agree to pause your programme or offer a suitable alternative, though we are not obliged to provide a refund.
If we cancel
In the unlikely event that we are unable to continue providing your programme, we will contact you to arrange a fair solution, which may include rescheduling or refunding the portion of the service not yet provided.
Your responsibilities
To get the most from our coaching and to keep it safe, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and honest information about your health, history and circumstances.
- Tell us about any relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications or concerns before and during your programme.
- Consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional where appropriate.
- Take responsibility for your own choices and actions, including how you apply the guidance we provide.
- Treat your coach with respect and communicate in good faith.
You remain solely responsible for your own health decisions and for how you choose to implement any guidance.
Results and no guarantees
Everyone's body and circumstances are different. While we work hard to support you and provide evidence-based guidance, we cannot and do not guarantee any specific outcome, result or timeframe. Your results depend on many factors, including how consistently you apply the guidance and your individual circumstances.
Intellectual property
All materials we provide, including guides, plans, resources, written content and the content of this website, are owned by align & nourish and are protected by copyright. They are provided for your own personal use only.
You may not copy, share, resell, distribute or publish our materials without our written permission. Your access to any digital resources is personal to you and non-transferable.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.
Subject to the above, we will not be liable for any loss or damage that is not a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms, or that arises from your own decisions, actions or failure to follow guidance or to seek appropriate medical advice. Our total liability to you in connection with your programme will not exceed the total amount you have paid us for that programme.
Confidentiality and data
We treat the information you share with us as confidential and use it only to provide and support your coaching. How we handle your personal information is explained in full in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version that applies to your programme is the one in place at the time you booked. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you will benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the part of the UK in which you live.
